- Abstract
The article focuses on "A Fable," by William Faulkner. Particular attention is given to the representation of Jews in the novel. The relationship between "A Fable," and Faulkner's "Absalom, Absalom!," is discussed. The allegorical qualities of "A Fable," including the military mutiny, are considered. The relationships between the Second World War, the Cold War and the eradication of racial exclusion in the American South in Faulkner's "A Fable," are also discussed.
