- Title
SEX EQUALITY ARGUMENTS FOR REPRODUCTIVE RIGHT'S: THEIR CRITICAL BASIS AND EVOLVING CONSTITUTIONAL EXPRESSION.
- Authors
Siegel, Reva B.
- Abstract
The article comments on the issue of sex equality and women's right to reproduction. It is opined that governments should not restrict women's autonomy on their bodies in the same way as it does not restrict men's. It is observed that those laws that impose gender-specific burdens on women's sexuality and parenting are constitutionally invalid. It is suggested that custom should be critically treated as an important part of sex equality and women's right to reproduction.
