The author reflects on the increase prevalence rate of food allergy in children. The author discusses the potential of oral tolerance as an efficient mechanism against food allergy, the prognosis of childhood food allergy, and the biomarkers associated with food allergy such as skin prick test, basophil activation, and food allergen stimulation.
