Lincoln Bicentennial Inaugural Events Announced.
- Abstract
The article announces the celebration of the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission (ALBC) in Hodgenville, Kentucky, from February 11-12, 2008. The two-day celebration will be attended by U.S. President George W. Bush, who will formally launch the ALBC. The music will be provided by the American Spiritual Ensemble and Saxton's Cornet Band, and actor Sam Waterston will deliver a dramatic presentation of Lincoln's words. The celebration will also feature the performance of the Louisville Orchestra, with guest soloist soprano Angela Brown. The event will be hosted by award-winning journalist and Louisville native Bob Edwards.
