- Abstract
Deep carbonate reservoirs in the Sichuan Basin have great potential in natural gas exploration and development, and they generally have H2S content. The development mode of ultra-long horizontal well allows for the full tapping of the reservoir production potential while ensuring safety and environmental protection strictly. However, the changes in reservoir characteristics, well types, and wellbore conditions in deep and ultra deep strata pose new challenges to acid fracturing technology. After clarifying the difficulties in the acid fracturing stimulation of deep carbonate reservoirs of sulfur-bearing gas, this paper enriches the connotations of three-dimensional acid fracturing technology and concept, illustrates its core concepts and key technologies, and forecasts its development directions. And the following research results are obtained. First, the threedimensional acid fracturing technology has three new connotations, i.e., acid-ecthing fracture parameters, stimulated reservoir volume expanding in multiple directions, and conductivity improving by changing fluid type fluid viscosity and injection sequence. Second, the core concepts and key technologies of three-dimensional acid fracturing technology include the intelligent fracture placement and dynamic acid placement concept and control technology for long open hole horizontal wells based on fine reservoir characterization, the comprehensive morphology control technology of acid-fracturing fracture volume, the multi-fluid and variable viscosity reverse-order multistage acid injection and conductivity control technology, and the advanced integrated high-temperature variable viscosity acid system. Third, for the three-dimensional acid fracturing of deep carbonate reservoirs below the depth of 8 000 m, it is suggested to research the accurate prediction of fracturing pressure in ultra-deep wells under the disturbance of foreign fluids and the multidimensional dynamic evaluation of acid fracture parameters throughout the whole process of acid fracturing-flowback-production and intelligent acid fracturing technology, research and develop the multifunctional acid fluid system resisting 220 °C and the temporary plugging material, and explore the supercritical CO2 acid fracturing technology for ultra-deep, ultra-high temperature and high stress reservoirs. In conclusion, the enrichment of the new connotations of the three-dimensional acidizing technology and concept for deep carbonate reservoirs and the formation of the key technologies can provide an effective support for the efficient development of deep carbonate reservoirs at home and abroad, and point out the research direction of acid fracturing technology for wells with a depth of 8 000 m and even 10 000 m.
