- Abstract
The article discusses use of short forms in two categories of 17th century literature including internal and external convergences. Various topics discussed include moral analysis of the short words used, its grammatical analysis, complementary approaches of the two convergences and remarqueurs. It further discusses various topics covered in both convergences including amenities disorder, principles of discernment, respectability, presentation of normative orientation and empiricism of moralists and remarqueurs. Authors mentioned include Claude Favre de Vaugelas, Jean de La Bruyère, and François de La Rochefoucauld.
