- Title
L'amministrazione Roosevelt e la Guerra civile spagnola.
- Authors
Lorefice, Fulvio
- Abstract
The essay examines the policy adopted by the Roosevelt administration toward the Spanish Civil War. The choice of the United States to remain neutral by refraining from participating in the activities of the Committee of Non-Intervention aroused a lively debate inside and outside the administration, which gives an account of the present work. Particular attention is finally paid to the implications of the Spanish conflict on the U.S. policy of «Good Neighbor» with regard to Central and South America and that of the «Open Door» regarding the Far East.
