- Abstract
The article presents a study which determines the pedagogical challenges associated with online courses in teacher education. The study investigates two courses that were taught with pre-service teacher candidates and practicing teachers. The study concludes that the challenges include the needs to address the lack of familiarity among students with the practices and structures of instructional technology as well establish social presence and maintain collaborative approaches.
