- Abstract
The article offers information on solar-cell-integrated high-contrast organic light-emitting diode (OLED). The paper investigated the improvement of luminous-efficiency after application of a distributed Bragg reflector (DBR). The DBR is shown to save approximately 40 percent of electricity as compared to devices which lacked a DBR, without sacrificing contrast ratio. The results suggest a potential use of DBRs for future mobile displays that have high optical efficiency and long battery life.
