- Abstract
Most paediatric cochlear implant (CI) recipients may experience speech recognition difficulties in acoustically challenging situations and environments. To analyse differences in BASC-2 scores between before and after using the FM system, the Wilcoxon signed rank test was used for each subcategory, subscale and composite of the BASC-2. All participants underwent BASC-2 test before use of the FM system and after 6 months of use. No changes were observed in terms of the externalising problems, internalising problems and adaptive skills items following use of the FM system; however, the school problems and behaviour symptom index items improved significantly post-FM system (Figure).
