News in brief.
Abstract
The article offers news briefs related to scientific researches. Chromophore-assisted light inactivation (CALI) reagents, a tool for inactivating protein function in cells, was found to contain protein targeting moiety and chromophore that generates singlet oxygen when irradiated with light. J. F. Li and colleagues introduces shell-isolated, nanoparticle-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SHINERS), wherein nanoparticles are spread over the surface without sticking to aid in single-molecule detection.
