- Abstract
The article offers information on the handling and transporting of radioactive materials in various nuclear facilities worldwide. In transfer hazardous chemicals over large distances, one uses specialized transport companies to do the job, but when relocated within the same site, no specialized handling is required but only a specially constructed facilities. The different types of radioactive materials that require different types of transporting and shielding include exempt waste, low-level waste, intermediate-level waste, and high-level waste.
