- Abstract
The article discussesd that the attorney conflicts of interest also played an underappreciated role in the financial crisis as representation of law firm Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in the bankruptcy case of financial services firm Lehman Brothers. It mentions the effectiveness of Model Rule 1.7 of the Model Rules of Professional Conduct, relationship of Sullivan with U.S. Department of Treasury and the Federal Reserve prevented it from aggressively advocating for Lehman.
