- Abstract
The article reports on the findings of the study concerning the role of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in transforming apical surface (AP) into basolateral membrane (BL) through posphatidylinositol 3,4,5-triphosphate (PIP3). It reveals that Pseudomonas aeruginosa causes the organization of epithelial cells to generate BL patches that allows the cells to enter. However, it indicates that Pseudomonas aeruginosa cannot enter into the epithelia if phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) function is disrupted.
