- Abstract
The article focuses on the advantage on the compilation of children's works into a book to develop children's early literacy in the classroom in the U.S. It has been cited that the documentation of children's photographs and drawings can help explain the actions and thoughts of students. Children are capable of building vocabulary in their engagement to cognitive and linguistic activities. This type of activity can be applied for lessons on buoyancy specifically on sinking and floating objects. Students are encouraged to classify and draw examples of this object which are then compiled into a book. The book can be used in scientific investigation wherein students can relate the topic to their work.
