- Abstract
Global Nonresponse Rate (GNR) is a variable used by Statistics Canada to indicate data quality within delineated geographic areas with respect to the information gathered by the NHS. While the fact remains that specific characteristics of the nonrespondents cannot be known with certainty, the prediction of GNR based on respondent characteristics, and conversely, the prediction of respondent characteristics based on GNR can inform the use of NHS data. The juxtaposition of the spatial distribution of GNR and that of our selected study variables displays a relationship between GNR and several variables representing social deprivation.
