- Abstract
The article offers information on the rulings of the case Williams v. Commonwealth, in which the Australian High Court addressed the issues of executive power and capacity of the Commonwealth and states to spend public money and enter into contracts without parliamentary authorisation. Topics also discussed include the Pape v. Commissioner of Taxation, execution and maintenance of a Commonwealth law and Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997.
