- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 61-year-old man with Malignant hyperthermia (MH), who was scheduled to undergo left lateral temporal bone resection, parotidectomy, and supraomohyoid neck dissection. On tracheal intubation, anesthesia was maintained with sevoflurane, oxygen, and medical air. It discusses symptoms such as hypercapnia and tachycardia and can progress to over hyperthermia in a short period of time and the role of dantrolene sodium in MH patient recovery.
