- Abstract
The article discusses a study that employs a three-compartment conductance-based model of the rat olfactory receptor neuron (ORN). It mentions that the model of the study does not include biochemical pathways and contains only three Hodgkin-Huxley (HH) type compartments, to wit soma, dendrite, and dendritic knob. The results of the study are shown in a graph. It is noted that the model used may allow faster and more efficient large-scale network simulations of the rat olfactory system.
