- Abstract
This article is the result of a bibliographic review aimed at studying the different international approaches that explain the current commercial diplomacy between China and the United States from the perspective of international relations. The research followed a non-experimental qualitative and analytical approach, under a cross-sectional documentary-bibliographic level. After this review, the elements that have allowed China to face the tariff restrictions imposed by the United States government are explained. Findings suggest that the protectionist policy of the United States government has a geopolitical background that favors "nationalist" and "Americanist" forces for regaining the Anglo-American power over the world.
