- Abstract
An essay is presented which aims to identify the interacting threats and challenges to protect Danau Sentarum National Park in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. It describes the site's wetlands which are reportedly the largest contributor to the region's freshwater fish industry. It discusses how the author and his fellow researchers conducted the study and details their key findings which include unsustainable fishery practices, gold mining, and forest fires.
