- Abstract
In the here and now (capitalist) society, marked by prejudice, racism, sexism, intolerance and discrimination against LGBTQIAP+, black, women, obese, indigenous and quilombola groups, it is necessary to fight and build an anti-racist and inclusive education to achieve human dignity, planetary balance, emancipation and world peace. In this sense, this text aims to present the challenges and possibilities of working on ethnic-racial relations in Quilombola School Education. As specific: describe Quilombola School Education, identify the potential of ethnic-racial relations and reflect on the role of the school in combating racism. The approach used was qualitative exploratory research and as a method, bibliographic research. Participant observation was used for data collection and qualitative analysis for data interpretation. The research participants were 25, being six teachers, 10 students from the final years of Elementary School and nine students from High School. The pedagogical activity brought contributions to the field of Quilombola School Education, to anti-racist education and the school's attitude in the fight against racism. The results showed that the students had little knowledge about racism, the need for the school to be a space to combat racism and all its nuances that permeate society, demand continued training in the anti-racist perspective for teachers, and, still, lack of public, social, affirmative and educational policies for Quilombola School Education.
