- Authors
Thomsen, Carly
- Abstract
The article discusses reproductive rights and reproductive justice activism in the U.S in the early 21st century. The author contends that the method through which to avoid the putative stigmatization of abortion is to celebrate it. An overview of the 2006 legislation in South Dakota banning abortions, particularly Native women's perspective on the ban, is provided. The activism of University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), California students in regard to the allegedly deceptive practices of crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs) is discussed.
