- Abstract
In the world of globalized business, corporate training programs are based on the common belief that better-trained employees will enhance business performance. Targeted on coaching, rather than generic training programs, this research served to analyze the impact of an ongoing salesperson coaching program, from customer perceptions called external market orientation (EMO), on a company in the global swimming pool industry. During the period of 2012-2014, a pre-post test was conducted with a 6-month time span provided data quantifies any shifts in EMO. The result didn't show any significant impact of EMO. This research extends the time period to 18-month as follow up to determine any significant shifts in the EMO of the customer groups since the original customer survey performed in early 2014.
