- Abstract
The article presents a case study of an old lady with transfused acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) developed after stem cell transplantation (SCT) for triggering transfusion-related acute lung injury (TRALI). Topics discussed include experiencing dyspnoea by patient on first day of stem cell transfusion, failure of all interventions including diuretics and catecholamines, and occurrence of TRALI in response to an infused trigger element.
