- Abstract
Palliative care is directed to symptomatic control and preservation of the patient's quality of life, without curative function, or prolongation or abbreviation of survival. The objective of this literature review is to describe the therapeutic management to subsidize nursing care, demonstrating the applicability of hypodermoclisis as an alternative pathway. The scientific methodology adopted is based on the bibliographic research of the literary revision type with a temporal cut from 2008 to 2016. Hypodermoclisis is a reliable and advantageous technique due to its lower complexity and cost. It is believed that the indications of this literature review may contribute to the nurse's awakening regarding her responsibilities in caring for and caring for patients in palliation, demonstrating the importance of having scientific knowledge to provide qualified assistance.
