- Abstract
This article discusses a rare case of overlap between eosinophilic fasciitis (EF) and generalized morphea, two rare connective tissue diseases. The patient, a 65-year-old man, presented with lower extremities edema and skin sclerosis on the trunk. Physical examination revealed skin sclerosis, erythematous patches and plaques, and limited range of motion in the ankle. Laboratory data showed high levels of eosinophils and other markers of inflammation. The patient's symptoms improved with oral treatment of prednisolone. The article highlights the similarities and differences between EF and morphea and emphasizes the importance of a detailed physical examination and histopathological examination for accurate diagnosis and prognosis.
