- Abstract
A case study is presented on the impact that South Korean 1950 land reform legislation had on the country's democracy and democratization during the 1950s. An overview of the South Korean government's policy towards landlords in regard to land reform, including the impact it had on the South Korean rural farmers' social conditions, is provided.
