- Abstract
The article presents a study on the occurrence of generalized and localized intravascular coagulation in the pathogenesis of glomerular and vascular lesions. In acute tubular necrosis, there is probably a relatively short period of fibrin deposition in renal glomeruli over a period of days related to primary cessation of renal blood flow and vasoconstriction. Arteriolar and arterial lesions accompany glomerular lesions of pre-eclamptic toxemia in the acute stage. Changes of cellular intimal proliferation in interlobular and arcuate arteries are often more prominent than arteriolar lesions.
