- Abstract
The article discusses the transnational characteristics of Chinese immigrants in Japan by focusing on the linguistic hybridity of Japanese language writing of Chinese immigrant writers Yang Yi's and Mao Danqing's. Topics mentioned include the role of increasing population of the Chinese immigrants since 1980 in Japanese society, the cultural translation represented in the works of the two writers, and the issue awareness of the writers in negotiating multiple languages and cultures.
