- Abstract
The article discusses a recent volume titled "Eighteenth-Century Ukraine: New Perspectives on Social, Cultural, and Intellectual History." The book brings together twenty specialists to provide new insights into the historiography of eighteenth-century Ukraine. The collection covers various topics such as military and political history, society and identity, religion and culture, and demographics and disease. The book challenges existing periodizations of this pivotal moment in Eurasian history and offers new perspectives for the comparative study of empires.
