- Title
JUMPING ON THE MOMMY TRACK: A TAX FOR WORKING MOTHERS.
- Authors
Kornberg, Jessica C.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the tax system that discriminates against working mothers in the U.S. According to a study, women are leaving the workplace in favor of childbearing. It states that working mothers should be subjected to a separate regressive tax rate schedule in order to neutralize the economic impact of parenthood. The study shows that high-skill women do not experience professional advancement equal to that of men, despite the increases in educational achievements and labor participation.
