Docking dogs' tails: Scotland could adopt a complete ban.
- Abstract
The article reports on the amendment of the Animal Health and Welfare Bill in Scotland to open way on the complete ban on non-therapeutic docking of dogs' tails. The amendment was made following a vote by members of the Scottish Parliament's Environment and Rural Development (ERD) Committee. In a debate by the committee, Rhona Brankin, the deputy minister of ERD, spoke in favor of a complete ban. Deliberations and amendments to the Bill will due on May 31, 2006.
