Humphreys, Brad R.
- Abstract
The article analyzes the need for international legal agreements on online sports gambling, given the disputes between the U.S and the small Caribbean nation of Antigua and Barbuda and between the Liga Portugesa of Portugal and the Gaming Department of the Santa Casa de Misericordia of Lisbon, Portugal. It discusses the legal status of domestic sports betting in Canada, England, U.S. and Australia. The article also recommends the adoption of an existing international betting system for horse races around the world as a legal regime for online gambling.
