- Abstract
The article focuses on the history of elevator trade shows from 1964 to 2009. It is said that the National Association of Elevator Contractors (NAEC) was the first to hold an industry trade show to educate contractors and promote products after meetings. Suppliers had created the Exhibitors Advisory Committee in 1988 which led to the ELEVATOR WORLD show in February 1989. World & Partner first organized Interlift in January 1989 at the Munich Olympic Hall in Germany with 7,000 to 7,500 attendees.
