- Abstract
The article focuses on private liquidity aspect that is cross-border credit provided by banks and discusses policies to control the vulnerabilities caused by it. It states that bank credit is the credit stock available with bank to finance spending which depends on monetary policy, on borrower quality. It informs that cross-border credits are monitored by the official committee of the Bank of England, the Financial Policy Committee in Great Britain and bilateral foreign currency swap lines.
