- Abstract
Nasal bone fractures are the most common subsite of pediatric maxillofacial trauma,[1] which affects older children and often results from physical altercations, falls, motor vehicle accidents, and sports-related injuries.[2] The timing of operative repair has been well characterized in adults, but definitive practice guidelines for fracture reduction are lacking for children. LITERATURE REVIEW Optimal timing for pediatric nasal bone reduction is a controversial topic due to a variety of factors which include fracture pattern diversity, patient age, and varying management styles.
