- Abstract
DISCUSSION EPLA extended to the anterior wall of the MS is a feasible technique that, as shown by these preliminary data, can be used as a surgical corridor or a direct treatment for lesions located at the antero-lateral portion of the MS. The maxillary sinus (MS) is then opened through the pre-lacrimal recess, the bony structure around the lacrimal pathway is removed at 360° and transposed medially; a sub-periosteum plane is reached on the anterior MS wall and detached from the bone to the infraorbital nerve (B). Extended Endoscopic Pre-Lacrimal Medial Maxillectomy To the Anterior Maxillary Sinus Wall.
