- Abstract
The article discusses the role of physician assistants (PAs) in Australia and how the profession become increasingly visible and important for the health care systems worldwide. It outlines several goals for the surgery team, which include integrating the PA role into a very busy teaching unit, creating some consistency in the midst of frequent education-related turnover, and improving consistent and timely access to health care services.
