- Abstract
The article discusses the role of science education to promote international understanding. Science teachers can find help in making their work more effective in fostering international understanding by familiarizing themselves with the research of psychologists regarding attitudes toward other nationalities. Several instances of international cooperation in research may be found in the histories of science including the British Association for the Advancement of Science, which in 1938 formed a new division " for the study of the social and international relationships of science. In the sciences, many groups in the U.S. and other countries are giving attention to promote scientific cooperation, collection and dissemination of scientific information and facilitation of movement of scientists across national boundaries.
