- Abstract
The article tries to analyze the scientific attitudes in science teachers and students. Some years back the Teacher Training Council in Wisconsin worked out a philosophy of education which was later interpreted by a committee of science teachers. It examined the philosophy's relevance in terms of science study and teaching. The committee wrote a philosophy which stated that science should build capability in individuals to solve problem. It further stated to develop this capability one need to have a scientific attitude, scientific methods to proceed and an information base. Several questions related to science study, teaching and scientific attitude were asked to teachers and students. It was found that a person with scientific attitude will change his opinion in presence of solid facts and won't be superstitious about old information. He will judge on the basis of facts.
