- Abstract
The article discusses a research study which investigated possible contacting techniques for smart textiles using Elitex, the electrically conductive thread material developed by TITV Greiz. A background on textile contacting is detailed. The two main groups of the most common connection types regarding metallic conducive material and conducive textiles are joint alignment and two-dimensional joints. The advantages of the joining technology include absence of thermal impact.
