- Title
Balancing the Childhood Immunization Program with the Urgent Needs for Adult Hepatitis B Immunization.
- Authors
Rodewald, Lance E.; Litjen (L. J.) Tan
- Abstract
The author discusses the need to balance the childhood immunization program with the urgent needs for adult hepatitis B immunization. He says that an increased U.S. federal funding for hepatitis B vaccination initiative cannot be expected. Instead, he says, that each state must do its best with existing resources, combine the public health community's creativity with new private sector opportunities, and find a balance between the competing priorities of childhood and adult vaccination.
