- Abstract
The 32nd annual International Symposium on Chirality (Chirality 2022) took place in Chicago, USA, after being postponed due to the pandemic. Over 300 scientists from 17 countries attended the symposium, which featured presentations from Nobel Laureates Sir J. Fraser Stoddart and Sir David W.C. MacMillian. The event included oral presentations and posters covering various topics related to chirality, such as chiral separations, asymmetric syntheses, chiroptical spectroscopy, and chiral sensors. For the first time, a session focused on the field of "D-Amino Acids in Biological Systems." The symposium was supported by numerous sponsors and included a social dinner cruise on the Chicago River. The special issue of the journal Chirality includes articles on various advances in fields impacted by chirality.
