- Abstract
A slot-line-excited equilateral-triangular dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) of very high permittivity (ℇr=82) is investigated experimentally. The triangular DRA is operated at its fundamental broadside TM1, 0, -1-mode. An improved bandwidth of ∼5%, which is 1.7 times higher than in the previous aperture-coupled version, is obtained for the new configuration. The return loss, radiation patterns, and antenna gain of the new configuration are presented. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 29: 230–231, 2001.
