- Abstract
The purpose of this study is to test the short- and long-term impacts of the information and communication economic activity on the unemployment rate in 2005:01– 2019:04. In this study, the long-term relationship between unemployment rate and information and communication economic activity determined by the ARDL boundary test approach, causality relationship analyzed by the Toda-Yamamoto approach. According to the findings of the study, as the information and communication economic activity increases by 1% in the long term, the unemployment rate will increase by 0.35%. In the short term, there is a causality relationship from information and communication economic activity to the unemployment rate.
