- Abstract
The article investigates the process of spiritual transformation among the previously religious Jewish Holocaust survivors who decided to abandon their faith due to the inhumanity of the Holocaust. Topics discussed include the significant modifications and additions to Jewish spiritual thought that includes the notion of theodicy or justification of God. Also discussed is the manner in which Holocaust theologians approached the issue of some survivors abandoning their faith.
