Title
Study of Daddy Longlegs Turned to Use on Robots.
Abstract
The article reports that biologist Robert Franklin at the University of Oregon is studying the body mechanism of daddy longlegs, an arachnid of the order Phalangida, to control joint coordination in robots. Franklin, along with roboticist Robert McGhee from Ohio State University and neurophysiologist Keir Pearson from the University of Alberta, are working on a six-legged walking machine.
