- Abstract
The article focuses on dentinogenesis imperfecta, which is a genetic disorder of the formation of tooth that is also known as hereditary opalescent dentin. The anomalies of the dentinogenesis imperfecta are indicated to occur in the dentin's structure and content and that such condition is highly variable in areas including Michigan, New York City and Maryland. Persons affected with dentinogenesis imperfecta is noted to have a translucent bluish or brownish coloration of the teeth. The elimination of problems that occur because of attrition or fracture of the surfaces of enamel is indicated to be one of the ways to treat the condition.
