- Abstract
The article discusses novelist Margaret Storm Jameson's fascination with poet W.H. Auden. In Jameson's autobiographical novel "The Journal of Mary Hervey Russell," the character of Green reflects Jameson's admiration of Auden. The author discusses antagonistic feelings toward Auden after he fled England before World War II. Jameson praised Auden's incorporation of politics into poetry.
